BRIEF HISTORY: Connovar is the first born of Theodreic Gausser. He was taken into the knights of the Gnarled Wood – the knightly order founded by emperor Mandred to protect  Salzenmund from the brutal wood elves before an uneasy truce was negotiated. Connovar was raised through their ranks quickly and now holds the position of the grand master. He has been sent by his father on a quest to rid the world of evil and to aid him in this mission he was presented with his father’s own runefang.

  

NAME: Darthir Gausser

ARMY ENTRY: Captain of the empire

BRIEF HISTORY: Darthir is the besotted younger brother of Connovar. He attempted to follow his older brother’s footsteps and join the Knights of the Gnarled wood but was rejected as he refused to use a lance, preferring his own two handed great sword. To ensure he stays close, Connovar selected Darthir as his personnel banner man therefore still allowing him to ride with the knights of the gnarled wood. To commemorate his selection Connovar presented him with a helm forged with ground dragon bone.

NAME: Tarpsuin 

ARMY ENTRY: Battle wizard

SIGNATURE ITEM: Ruby ring of ruin

BRIEF HISTORY: Tarpsuin was plying his trade as a travelling magician following his expulsion from the college of magic due to a mishap with a fireball and the curtains of the wizard lord’s personnel chambers.  Before he was escorted from the college grounds, Tarpsuin pocketed his favourite magical ring – the ruby ring of ruin. Travelling the Nordland, Theodreic was amused and heartened by his story and character and he soon became like a brother to Darthir and Connovar.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Newly completed small stone keep situated on a site of recently cleared section of the great northern forest. Home to Darthir Gausser who has been given the task of pushing the trees further back and protecting the lands from any horrors which emerge. 

NAME: The Pitted Sands

REGION: Valley/Gorge

REGION RULES: Focussed Advance

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: A great stretch of sandy coastline, the pitted sands have the roaring northern sea on one side and a stony coastal cliff on the other. It is peppered with vast boulders which have been roughly carved from the coastal cliff over the centuries and deposited on the beach to inhibit the landing of sea raiders.

REGION RULES: Entangled Woods

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Dense and ancient woodland at the heart of the Nordland. It is home to many mythical beasts, some to be harnessed and some to be fought but all to be feared.
