Another week and another load of games! This week we had 5 games going on, one was a game of Triumph and Treachery and we had perhaps some of fastest games that the campaign has ever seen... I think everybody is starting to know their army really well and are getting used to the rules, so there's only one thing for it - more points! Unfortunately I personally turned up late, and even when I did I wasn't able to grasp exactly what happened in every game however I'll try an divulge the details out now.
Henry (Warriors of Chaos) vs Hendrik (Vampire Counts)

The game was pretty much over when I turned up, however it seemed that the Warriors simply steam rolled over the masses of Undead. Unfortunately Hendrik fell foul to a Purple Sun which took off the majority of his characters in one foul swoop which left Henry to mop up the remains. Henry took the game with 4 Gold whilst Hendrik stumbled back with a solitary 1.
Melvin (Wood Elves) vs Will S (Lizardmen)

This game was finished when I arrived, however Melvin talked me through some of the details. The Lizardmen all vanguarded forward and were in the Wood Elf's face very early on. However this left a huge void at the back which Melvin's fast skirmishing units could exploit, but in the end the Elves managed to grind out the Lizardmen in combat as their shooting failed them. Melvin took a massive 5 Gold from the game whilst Will took a single 1.
Hugh (Vampire Counts) vs Francis (Lizardmen) vs Jack (Bretonnia)

So the usual T&T carnage ensued here, Francis was using a loan force of Lizardmen for this game whilst Jack's Bretonnian's have returned from their hiatus. And they returned in style as it seemed the close proximity nature of the game favored the Knights of the Realm. In the end there were very few units left on the table but the endurance of the knights meant it was a victory to the lady. Jack took 6 Gold, Francis 4 and Hugh scrambled 2 near the end.
Simon (Lizardmen) vs Will B (Ogre Kingdoms)

The might of Ogres seemed to overwhelm the field of Skinks that were presented to Will, however the Ogres had an element of speed and maneuverability to their force which allowed them to hit they liked and stop the Skinks from being such a nuisance. In the end though it seemed very close, and a few more poisoned shots here and there could have turned the tide. Will took 4 gold whilst Simon took a solitary piece for himself.
Gareth (Orcs & Goblins) vs Fred (Wood Elves)

This game came down to the wire, and there seemed to be a lot of combats moving around the table as the Wood Elves had the superior movability that just couldn't quite stop the Orc's in their tracks. I think Fred learnt the hard way exactly what Fanatics do, and everybody's in for a shock when the Mangler Squigs come bounding onto the tabletop! Gareth stomped on with 3 Gold whilst Fred took a singular piece, a close end for a close game.
