Gameweek 9 - Round Up

GAMEWEEK 9

Part 2 of the Impending Darkness has begun and it's all getting grimmer and with the arrival of the Glottkin and the union of the Elves in End Times Khaine, the following weeks are going to be a bumpy ride... So after an 'international break' last week it was time for the players to pitch themselves into the fray once more, and get Gameweek 9 under way.

Peter (Beastmen) vs Ben (Dwarfs)

Pete was trying out my Beastmen so that he could get a feel for the game, and actually managed to seriously dent the Longbeards, but in the end the Dwarfs ground the wailing Beastmen out leaving the stunties victorious. Ben took 3 Gold home leaving Pete/Myself with 1 for taking part, but it was really good fun.

Simon (Lizardmen) vs Henry (Warriors of Chaos)

It looked like the armoured juggernaut of the Warriors were too much for the Blowpipes and Javelins of the Lizardmen. Henry took the game with 4 Gold leaving Simon with 1.

Will S (Lizardmen) vs Hugh (Vampire Counts)

This game looked really close, and seemed like the Lizardmen pipped it in the end. There were a lot of big monsters on the table too which was good to see, especially the Morghast Archai unit. Will won the game with 5 Gold but Hugh gained a respectable 3 for his troubles.

James (Dark Elves) vs Fred (Wood Elves)

A battle of pointy ears ended in the Dark Elves running rings around their Wood'ish cousins... I'm sure the Wood Elves will seek revenge though! James took 5 Gold with Fred taking home 1.

Gareth (Orcs & Goblins) vs Melvin (Wood Elves)

The Orc's looked like they were running this one close, but eventually the fast nature of the Wood Elves ground the greenskins down. Melvin earned 5 Gold whilst Gareth got himself 2.
